Snap-hook closure for ornamental chains and similar articles comprising an annular body with an opening delimited by its two opposite ends and a closing element protruding within said opening from one to the other of said ends and elastically pivoted within a seat obtained in said body so as to be rotatable in a substantially radial direction, characterized by the fact that said closing element has an arm on the opposite side to its protruding portion with respect to its pivot axis against which a rod-shaped pressure element is found housed within said body and axially sliding following pressure exerted on one of its ends protruding from the edge of said body.
