La presente innovazione riguarda in generale il settore degli accendini ed in particolare si riferisce ad un accendino dotato di mezzi di immagazzinamento dei mozziconi di sigarette. Come è noto, i fumatori si ritrovano spesso a consumare le sigarette in luoghi in cui non sono presenti portacenere o porta-mozziconi, come ad esempio le strade ed i parchi. In questo caso il fumatore, una volta terminata la sigaretta, tende ad abbandonare il mozzicone al suolo, con gli evidenti problemi di inquinamento e sporcizia che da ciò derivano.
