This invention was also conceived in order to obtain a mobile product; in fact, by adding a mini LCD type panel that forms a single structure with the system, it makes it similar to a portable PC, which always has the same functions as the physical structure mentioned above and is also valid for use during travel (by car etc.), since it is possible to use them even at a high speed.

The multifunctional telecommunication device can be combined with a wireless, traditional or laser projection keyboard. Furthermore, there is the possibility of having different final video / audio channels independent of each other, thanks to the different transmission with independent video outputs to the individual devices, located in different environments enabled for audio / video reception.

The transmission methods with which this device can receive are three:

STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION

An important part of this "multifunctional telecommunication device" invention is that it offers the family a space to stick together, although everyone does the activity they prefer, saving money, time and physical space (in order not to have to own many tools separate electronics that perform different actions). The slave is a very cheap box that does not have many devices but only the indispensable ones. In the event that you want to make purchases through video TV advertising, (this opportunity is possible if the advertising companies are affiliated with the company that manages the method in order to allow the dynamism and usability of the advertising itself through our system ), that is, if the user is watching a television broadcast or a radio-television broadcast, during the advertising intervals of a traditional nature, the user can access the purchase of the sponsored product directly, without the need to carry out any research, simply clicking on the code of the product displayed in the advertisement, and being able to quickly buy it, viewing more information that traditional advertisements do not show, in this way, therefore, the user is much more likely to become a customer. PRESENTATION OF THE INTERFACE

Our interface is launched automatically when the operating system starts, giving the user the possibility and comfort to interact without the possibility of having to leave it, being complete to the point of offering not only the special contents of our system, but also providing the basic operations of normal existing operating systems such as (print, send faxes, telephone, video call, save video, write and explore documents, surf the internet, consult e-mails, view, create, send and receive any multimedia content, etc.) The interface can be used completely both with a PC mouse and / or with the remote control containing a mouse system, specifically designed to be able to operate in a simple and practical way on our multimedia system on (A), allowing the user not only to be able to operate through a common remote control, but above all to be able to move freely quickly along the whole at the screen. To use the box as a classic PC, you can safely load the traditional Operating System using a specific command on the interface (see figure 130). A traditional operating system that the user can install is loaded in another partition of the hard disk or on another hard disk, thus allowing the use of two PCs in a single physical structure. The user can easily and quickly switch from one system to another. If the traditional operating system is used, the user can therefore use a high-performance PC considering the new innovative hardware and software technologies in our box.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INTERFACE OF THE SOFTWARE PRE-INSTALLED ON THE MULTIFUNCTIONAL DEVICE

Specifically, the structure and behavior of the interface of the software pre-installed on the multifunction device is described. It is structured in several parts: In the first screen of the interface, HOME, an animated welcome screen is visible in the center of the monitor, at the top there are advertising banners and in the upper left corner the TVNETMEDIA logo (See fig. ). The advertising banners are dynamic and alternate at fixed time intervals. These advertising banners are in turn linkable in order to access a web prepage of the associated company.

Under the advertising banners there is a scrollable bar of icons, to quickly access the most important functions of the interface itself (police, fire brigade, ambulance, hospital, e-mail services, internet browser, desired language and country, road maps, fax, telephone, telephone book, weather forecast, computer resources, and other services and options, can also be added and customized, based on the sections of the interface to which the user wishes to have immediate access.

At the top right you can see buttons that allow the user to perform elementary options of "Back, Home", Back to return to the previously visited section, Home to return to the home screen.

At the bottom of the screen, another bar is displayed containing operational buttons, such as: on demand menu, TV menu, schedule, split, recording, help, TV guide, interactive multimedia information, and other optional services that can be viewed through this bar.

By selecting the "Menu On Demand" option, the section opens where, through the use of scrollable menus, we can choose the type of content to request, video, audio or other, by browsing categories and sub categories. (example: for the Movies category, we will have sub-categories containing various types of movies such as action, cartoon, drama, thriller, etc.).

In both the category and sub-category bars, buttons are displayed which are used to scroll the contents present in the bars themselves. While browsing these scrollable menus, interactive television advertisements are displayed in the center of the interface, while on the opposite side there is a scroll of advertisements that are also selectable and interactive.

At the top center of the television screen, positioned below the bar of favorite icons and above the content itself, two horizontal bars are displayed which show information relating to the selected theme. For example: if we have selected Film, the title of the film appears in the first bar with short synoptic cards of the film, while the second bar shows the time, day of the week, month, duration of the film and other information relating to the theme. selected. In the lower center of the interface there are buttons for various commands: buy, rent, schedule, mute, info, help, rec, guide.

By pressing the rec key, the interface allows you to record non-proprietary content immediately or in a programmed manner. The user can program the system for recording, the recorded content will be saved on the hard disk and can be accessed through the same recording menu which shows the list of all recorded content.

The system also allows you to view all the purchases made by the user quickly, as in the case of a rented film that results in purchases. Clicking on this immediately starts the film.

There is also a cart that shows the list of purchased contents and allows you to purchase various contents through a single bank transaction, from an internet card or an account on your bill.

GRAPHIC VIDEO DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM: THE "SPLIT"

In order to take advantage of all the functions of the MULTIFUNCTION TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT system, a new software system has been programmed for the division into frames of images and videos, called “SPLIT”. This division has been designed to meet the needs of the user and / or a family unit as thanks to the convenience of being able to divide the monitor through various splits present in our interface for a separate and contemporary video vision and also to the different innovative and multiple programmed audio outputs, it is therefore possible to operate individually and / or simultaneously with them through the various types of screens that our system contains. This audio output system allows the subdivision of the audio output channels, to ensure the separation of the various sounds in the event that in the split view there are more than one active video / audio stream.

With this hardware, therefore, the audio streams do not overlap all on a single output and for each audio output there is a separate audio device (headphones, earphones, speakers). This therefore allows you to simultaneously entertain multiple users to the same system that will perform different functions for each individual request including: viewing: films, advertisements, videos; listen to music, surf the internet, be able to make video conferences etc. The system therefore always gives the user the possibility not to interrupt the operation in progress even if he has to perform another one. Thanks to the SPLIT system, one or more users can perform different operations at the same time. The system manages multi-user and multi-process in a fast and intuitive way.

For example, if the user is watching a football match and at the same time wants to view another or even more, he can do it without interrupting the previous one, thus viewing more games on the same monitor. It will be the user who chooses the use of each single frame of the split, so one or more users can interact independently on a specific frame also having the possibility to move a video or an interface to another frame as they wish (swapping) .

COMMUNICATIONS DETAIL

Let's see in more detail how communication occurs in the system, with reference to the operations that the multifunction telecommunication device (box) carries out.

DISPLAY LIST OF CONTENTS

d. the content presentation page is sent back to the box, this after having carried out the steps on security, as explained in the paragraph “how the security system works” and represented in fig d1.

All the steps between the various servers of our system, including the box, take place

with connections based on SSL protocols.

MULTICAST AND UNICAST VIDEO CHANNEL TRANSMISSION PROTOCOL

The transmission of the channels is carried out through RTP or other protocol and can take place in unicast or multicast mode. With unicast mode, the video is sent directly from the server to all clients requesting the channel and requires the server to have enough outgoing bandwidth to serve all requests. With multicast mode, the burden of duplicating packets is entrusted to the network itself. Clients who want to see a channel must 'subscribe' to a multicast address (obviously registration is accepted after authentication), so the server does not send the stream to the single client but to the multicast address. However, the network must be predisposed to multicast and equipped with multicast routers that duplicate the video stream on all requesting clients. This second alternative lowers the server load (even a server can serve dozens of channels simultaneously and virtually as many clients as the entire network can support). Furthermore, the key to decrypt the video is the same for all clients, although it will be dynamically changed at regular intervals to increase security.

RTSP PROTOCOL

On Demand (OD) video streams, unlike live channels, have the advantage of being able to be managed in an advanced way by the user, that is, they can be paused, stopped, forward or backward and all that is expected by a normal media player that displays a file on the local system. This interactive function with the video stream is guaranteed by exploiting the RTSP protocol (Real Time Streaming Protocol).

SECURITY AND INSTALLATION OF SOFTWARE OPERATING SYSTEMS ON THE BOX

The hardware is the same for all the boxes based on the model, so you make a print of the hard disk of the prototype box and move on to all the boxes in series. The box including: our operating system (configured ad hoc), proxy program for secure connection based on SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol which relies on configuration files of the various passwords, boxes, minor customers, credit etc. Advantages: in this way it is no longer necessary to customize the codes of the respective boxes manually, but just insert the standard (installation) CD so that all the boxes will have the same code.

This problem will be solved at the first network connection of the boxes to a specific server which will automatically configure the codes contained in those configuration files present in the software of the boxes. Thus each box will have a personalized and unique code for a secure recognition, without giving the possibility of accessing our system to other electronic devices. For greater security, also change the root password of the operating system of our boxes from a specific server (example: the root password) so that not even the assembler of the box itself will be able to know the root password. Example: if the boxes originally have the same root password (because the installation CDs are the same for all the boxes), the server changes it when the box is first connected. This is because if someone were to discover the root password of a box he could easily spread it and be able to use it to access and tamper with the other boxes from a software point of view.

SECURITY OF THE WHOLE MULTIFUNCTIONAL TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Not only the boxes are equipped with a secure protection software, but also all the servers that will be part of our system thanks to the use of software proxies that bind the use of the software system to the use of the specific hardware system, this to have the encryption of all information passing through the system. Furthermore, these software cannot be tampered with by the user because there are restrictions on users by the operating system, ie the user does not have all the permissions of a true traditional PC administrator. Only a specific remote server will have the authorization to modify the software installed on A. Thanks to this we obtain the maximum of IT security for what concerns not only the data (example: password) but also the contents (example: films) and software necessary for the correct and safe operation of the system. All contents will be encrypted / decrypted via the Encryption System of the Magic Media Box (fig D1).

On the box, in addition to having a software proxy for controlling our system, we have also provided a software proxy for free surfing on the internet, and therefore also on the server side.This system allows us to monitor all traces of requests in input and output of the boxes, also acting as a control body for what concerns the legal directives on downloading or viewing extra content not controlled by our servers.

ON DEMAND SYSTEM OPERATION

An On Demand service system has been created that can manage the entire request cycle up to distribution.

To create a "Demand" our system is able to manage all types of necessary services, that is, if the user requests, for example, a film that is not in the management server of the content provider at the time of the request, the system will reply “Not Available” and, at the same time, will ask the user if he wants to reserve the content. In this case, the content provider's server will ask the manufacturer's warehouse whether or not this product exists. The manufacturer will reply and send a confirmation message either immediately or within a specified time. This will give the manufacturing company the opportunity to know the real market demands through a simple database. The same application can also be used by a user to book content that will soon be available.

For the protection of “On Demand” purchases, a secure system and application has been created to be used not only for the device but also on the various servers. When a film is requested On Demand, for the security of non-reproduction of the same, the selling company establishes a fixed time for use which may vary according to the agreements. At the end of the period, the user / device no longer has access to that content because the server automatically removes it from the authorized list.

All this regarding the On Demand request, concerning films, video games or for some television content. Please note that some of these contents are already included in packages created by the cable company and are provided free to the user. This system created is expandable thanks to the creation of various packages tailored to the user according to their needs, however interchangeable at any time.

EXAMPLE OF PURCHASE VIDEO ON DEMAND

Through the interface, the user can view the list of On-Demand movies in the catalog and view their trailers. If the movie is already uploaded to the content server, the user can purchase it. There are three payment methods provided by the system: payment by credit card, prepaid card and debit on the bill. The first method normally used in online purchase procedures assumes that the user makes the payment through the website of his bank. The prepaid, on the other hand, is a service offered by the system that manages a rechargeable account for each customer. In the debit on the bill, always managed by the system, the expenses made by the user are taken into account up to a maximum established and then request the balance of the expenses at the end of the period. The latter two payment methods are protected by a password assigned to each user and which the user can modify.

Once the payment method has been chosen, the box makes the request to the system which verifies the availability of the movie and if the chosen payment method is valid (sufficient credit, or successful credit card payment) then the server will display the movie at the requesting box. By availability of the movie we mean not only the availability of a server that has the content but that the same server has not reached the limit of users it can serve. Once the rental has been made, the box is assigned a place on the content server for the established duration, a period within which the user can view the video.

ADVERTISING CONTROL

Within the user interface there are advertising banners and updatable advertising videos that have a link to a personalized advertising page for each banner. We have various types of advertising: the banners on the top, always visible during the user's navigation, which change according to the preset time interval; the side banners, which change according to the category selected by the user because they are relevant to the category itself; and thematic and non-thematic video advertisements, which appear during navigation in the center of the interface. The banners and videos are uploaded to the server and are immediately visible from all the boxes, and the rotation of the banners is guaranteed so that they are all visible for the same amount of time.

VIDEO ENCRYPTION

Films and channels, like all other information from and to users, do not travel through the network in the clear but are encrypted so as to be visible only by users who have paid to see the contents. [See fig d1] This process does not increase the network load, but only the workload of the content servers.

USER PURCHASE PANEL

The user purchase panel is an area of the interface that monitors all purchases that the user has made through the system. This panel is used for example by the user to find out which films he has rented are still available to the user and how much time remains at the end of use, or to view those already expired, or to have a monthly report of the expenses made, or to check the status of orders placed.

Once the content to be displayed has been chosen, the boxes will be able, via proxy, to register their access key for the content itself, located on a content server, and view it in streaming. In addition, each purchase must be driven by the server manager who will keep track of all the movements made from the pits. From the point of view of security, it must be ensured that the boxes are uniquely identified on the system network, without the possibility that their access key can be cloned and that therefore one can authenticate and use the services in place of another customer. The data traveling between servers and clients will not be intercepted by other PCs connected to the network. Here is an overview of the expected interactions between the components of the system (some steps are implied): The readings on the database (identified by) are safe, as the dbmanager provides for authentication and communication with SSL protocol, the request for the access key (identified by) instead must be controlled by the server manager, while the requests of the box (identified by) must be allowed after authentication of the box, if registered. The workload of the servers within the system is distributed according to the tasks that the system must perform: storage of box access data and content, dynamic creation of content presentation pages and content distribution. The manager who manages the system database has a central role as all operations involve him and the data contained must be protected. To ensure control over every single written data and so that the data is not arbitrarily tampered with, the database is accessible from the outside in read-only mode.

TECH CONTROL ADAPTABLE WITH WIRELESS SYSTEM.

This device has two usable sides (in figure 50,51,52)., Which, on the one hand, has a high-tech remote control and, on the other, a keyboard with integrated mouse. The remote control is also equipped with a PC mouse pointer system, and can move not only horizontally and / or vertically but, by scrolling on the monitor and also across the interface and in all directions. This creation called Tech Control, gives the user the possibility to have only one device with multifunction in the same physical structure which on one side has a PC keyboard with built-in mouse and other necessary options, on the other side it presents a multifunction remote control containing also a mouse system designed to facilitate all the operations on our interface.

MULTIPURPOSE PHONE, ALARM SYSTEM.

Starting from these physical structures, new integrated systems have been created which extend the invention of the multifunctional telecommunication apparatus and in turn allow its independent and integrated execution to other devices, but which basically fulfill the full functionality of the MULTIFUNCTIONAL TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT and are designed for that invention. These integrated systems represent different types of processes, as well as physical and structural implementations that maximize the functioning and usefulness of the main invention. The

Our device will be equipped with an innovative alarm system that is articulated through the use of the integrated video camera with the software VOIP phone. The motion detectors and the video camera, properly set up, will be able to detect any intrusions, or other dangers (fires, gas leaks, .. etc) if put in communication with suitable sensors.

This device in turn can be connected directly to the police station in the event that the office or apartment is left unattended. This device is important considering that it has a significant safety system within it.

THE TELEPHONE AND THE VIRTUAL KEYBOARD CONTROLLER - THE TELEPHONE / VIDEOPHONE FUNCTION

One of the most innovative functions of TVNETMEDIA is an integrated VOICE OVER IP telephone, which can be accessed by clicking on the TELEPHONE button in the lower bar of the home screen (109). Or by clicking the PHONE BUTTON in the ICON BAR (108.2). Or wherever the button with the phone icon appears in the interface (such as in the TVFS function).

After selecting the relative command, immediately on the right side of the screen a TELEPHONE / VIDEO TELEPHONE appears with the image of the person we are calling, and using a Bluetooth audio input / output from the TVNETMEDIA, wireless communication system, the user can speak with anyone without interrupting the other functions of TVNETMEDIA. You can watch television, surf the internet, or work while communicating in one simple INTEGRATED SYSTEM.

The phone icon can also disappear, so as not to disturb other functions, you can continue talking without seeing the phone interface, unless it is a video call, in this case the user keeps the phone on the screen . Our Multimedia system has a virtual telephone through which the user can interact via the interface, without having a physical telephone. CONTENT SERVER DISTRIBUTION

After we click on the tvnetmedia logo, the TVFS bar appears with its many useful available functions and navigation commands.

At start-up, the TVFS will be set to the last channel viewed, among those available. It is possible to quickly browse the channels from the CHANNELS panel (112.2) using the right (112.3) or left (112.4) arrows to go forward or backward in the channels. THE PREVIEW FUNCTION OF THE FULLSCREEN TV

HOW SECURITY WORKS (Figure d1)

THE CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - TV net MEDIA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (MMS)

This application allows content providers to directly control server B which contains their encrypted media, add, edit, remove content, automatically managing the connection and transmission, and most importantly, the conversion and encryption of the file that will be sent to the their dedicated server (server B in Fig. D1)

The content company can also have through our interface a constant stream of statistics describing how much of its content has been viewed and receive requests for the addition of new content from the user.

The application is divided into 3 areas: Management, Statistics and Analysis of requests.

In Area 1 - "management" the content provider can view which content it has already entered on server B [Fig. D1] add, modify or remove from it. Immediately after any change, all TVNETMEDIA users will see the changes in real time.

All content management operations are carried out from this area which shows us a list of contents on the dedicated server.

Area 3, ANALYSIS OF REQUESTS. In this area, the content provider sees all the requests arrived at server B, and can decide whether to satisfy these requests simply by accessing the management area (area 1).

Transmission of new content from server C to server B can be done in many ways, via IP, via satellite, or via cable, radio or wireless.

Even with just one employee, an entire system can be easily maintained, content added and customer requests fulfilled in just a few clicks.

DETAILS OF THE NET MEDIA TV ADVERTISING SYSTEM

A new type of advertising is implemented with the functions of TVNETMEDIA, using at the same time the Power of the Videophone, interactive capabilities, secure payments and the virtual secretary.
