Abstract

A multimedia television apparatus comprises a plasma or LCD flat screen 1, a television receiver, a personal computer and a removable hard disc drive 2, all housed in a single unit 8. The apparatus may also contain a satellite receiver, a radio receiver and be able to access the internet. The computer may be operated with a wireless keyboard, containing a finger operated trackball and the television by an infra-red remote control. A wireless printer may also be used.

A combined flat screen television comprising viewing means by plasma or liquid crystal television display and personal computer with means to detach the computer hard disc drive from the computer base unit, and combining means to house the television and personal computer unit within one single base housing, means for siting the personal computer, television, and television screen in the same base casing collectively is made, with receiver for computer and television control operations governed by transmitter.</p>
