The present industrial invention relates to natural sticks for interdental cleaning.

The specific use for which the natural interdental cleaning sticks are intended is the elimination of food residues, bacterial plaque or other formations between the interdental spaces. They also perform the function of interdental stimulator of the gingival papilla and keratinization of it.

Other tools are widely used for the same specific use, such as the classic toothpick, which being rigid, however, does not adapt to the interstices and can damage both teeth and gums, furthermore being made of wood and generally coming from non-European countries negatively on the ecosystem. Another tool on the market is the interdental brush, consisting of a handle that can be made in different materials and a tip covered with artificial sà © tole, which turns out to be expensive to purchase (as it is necessary to buy different sizes to adapt to the various spaces interdental) and complicated to dispose of. Dental floss, also made of synthetic material, is usually used for the same purpose, however it is not very easy to handle (if used carelessly it can even cut the gums) and difficult to dispose of. The tools mentioned above are certainly effective in cleaning interdental spaces, however the experts in the sector (dentists, dentists, dental technicians) seek and recommend solutions that are as natural as possible and therefore closer to man and the ecological world that surrounds him.

One purpose of the invention is to provide a tool that allows the elimination of food residues, bacterial plaque deposits or other using raw material of natural origin, cultivable in any latitude and producible with artisanal and strictly biological processes.

A further purpose of the invention is to provide a pleasant tool to keep in the mouth as it is slightly aromatic by nature, easy to use as it is soft and flexible, easy to dispose of as it is entirely natural.

Another purpose of the invention is to provide a natural instrument that can be used both in healthy mouths and in mouths with anatomical pictures modified by the presence of fixed prostheses, orthodontic appliances and periodontal problems.

Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become clearer from the indicative, and therefore non-limiting, description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment of natural sticks for interdental cleaning as illustrated in the accompanying figures in which:

With reference to the figures, the natural sticks for interdental cleaning according to the invention are obtained from the Phleum pratense plant of the family of grasses, also commonly referred to as â € œmice's tailâ €, â € œcedolina commonâ €, â € œileoâ €, â € œ cedolina grassâ €, â € œfleolusâ €, â € œ timothy grassâ €.

The technical procedure for the realization of the artifact is of an artisanal type and consists in cutting the plant in the field during the summer season, when the product is mature and at the right drying point, followed by the transfer to the laboratory where the plant is selected (they are eliminated plants that are uneven or with growth defects) and deprived of the panicle 1 fluorescence of which it is constituted; then a cut is made at the first node 2 or closure to descend from the cob itself, thus eliminating a dry envelope 3 called the sheath and all the remaining part of the plant 4 which does not lend itself to the use of the present instrument patent, as it does not contain the essential characteristics necessary for this purpose, but which together with the cob 1 will be set aside to be used as bio fuel in stoves or fireplaces.

From this first operation a part of the plant 5 is obtained having the following characteristics: resistance to bending, hollow cylindrical structure (predisposed to crushing) with a variable thickness from 0.5 mm to about 2 mm which allows perfect insertion and modeling in the interdental spaces, pleasant golden color or with a hint of green, delicacy, pleasantness in use: all satisfactory qualities for the intended use.

Therefore, the product must be cut to an ideal size for its function (in a version about fifty millimeters), washed exclusively with water and suitably sterilized in suitable ovens (a typical procedure foresees the permanence in a ventilated dry oven at a temperature of 121 ° for a period of twenty minutes), packaged and sealed, so as to completely eliminate possible microorganisms and maintain perfect hygiene even for long periods.
