Description

Brevetto per Invenzione Industriale dal titolo “SEDIA A ROTELLE PER INVALIDI CON TRASMISSIONE IGIENICAMENTE PROTETTA†. Patent for Industrial Invention entitled â € œWHEEL CHAIR FOR INVALID WITH HYGIENICALLY PROTECTED TRANSMISSIONâ €.

DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION

The invention relates to a wheelchair for invalids capable of preventing the invalid's hands and / or clothes from getting dirty during the actuation phase of the pushing circle. Currently, wheelchairs for hand-pushed invalids are made with four load-bearing wheels, two of which are larger (which can be rear or front) equipped with integral push rims, slightly smaller, concentric and coaxial with the two. carrying motes. By operating the push rims with your hands, it is almost inevitable to get dirty on the sleeves of clothes, which are found to rub against the tires of the wheels in contact with the pavement, due to their diameter greater than that of the push rims. Moreover, this arrangement means that quite frequently the invalid, to exert the thrust, involuntarily grips the carrying wheels instead of the thrust circles, in contrast to the most elementary hygiene rules. This gesture is unfortunately frequent in people who, in addition to physical handicap, have a psychic handicap. Furthermore, in the event of atmospheric precipitation, the use of the wheelchair on wet, snowy or muddy surfaces also leads to soiling of the wheel rim and clothes. The object of the result is a wheelchair for invalids able to avoid the aforementioned inconveniences, offering protection against accidental contact with the rear wheels carried out in pushing for respect to the rear wheels. This entails the possibility of having thrust rims with a larger diameter than the rear wheels, facilitating thrust by virtue of the greater moment exerted and with the thrust rim connected to the rear wheels by means of a transmission. The invention is illustrated purely by way of indication and as such is not limiting to figures 1, 2 and 3 of attached sheets 1, 2 and 3. In particular on sheet 1 figure 1 is a front view of the wheelchair according to the result. On sheet 2 figure 2 is a side view. Finally, on sheet 3 figure 3 is a front view of the transmission with thrust rim, rear wheel and mudguard. In a preferred but not exclusive embodiment, the wheelchair with hygienically protected transmission comprises wheels 1 for advancement with mudguards 2 connected with support plate 3. The support plate 3 connects the shaft 4 of the wheels 1 for the advancement with the shaft 5 of the thrust wheel 6 by means of hub 7 for supporting the rear wheels and hub 8 of the thrust wheel 6. 1 hubs 7 and 8 are able to rotate with respect to the support plate 3 as they are equipped with radial rolling bearings 9. The thrust wheels 6 transmit the rotation movement given by the thrust of the arms to the wheels 1 by means of transmission 10. Said transmission can consist of pulleys 11 integral with the respective hubs and belt 12. In another form of application the pulleys 11 and the belt 12 can be replaced by toothed crowns and transmission chain. In a further form of application, always falling within the inventive concept, the pulleys 11 and the belt 12 can be replaced by gears. To facilitate transmission with less use of physical force applied to the thrust wheels 6, transmission ratios can be provided. During operation, the wheelchair for invalids with hygienically protected transmission foresees the actuation of the push wheels 6 with the arms. The resulting angular motion, by means of the transmission 10, is carried to the wheels 1, determining the advancement. The mudguards 2 therefore prevent accidental gripping carried out directly on the wheels 1. The push wheels 6 with a larger diameter than the diameter of the wheels 1 and the transmission 10 allow advancement with less effort than traditional wheelchairs. Furthermore, the push wheels 6, being arranged in a higher position and not concentric with respect to the advance wheels 1, do not come into contact with puddles, snow or mud present on the roadway, thus avoiding the contamination of hands and clothes at the ™ wheelchair user according to the result. The invention is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the inventive concept. Furthermore, all the details can be replaced with other technically equivalent ones.
