4. Oarlock according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is provided, at the opposite ends, with means for the optional attachment of the terminal ends of respective portions of said safety rope.

5. Oarlock according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized by the fact that said means are constituted, for each of said opposite ends, by an indentation defining an abutment surface for a respective node made in said terminal end.
