Abstract

A spring-latch lock (1) to be surface-mounted on a door wing, constituted by a box-like body (2) that accommodates internally spring-latch actuation means, characterized in that it comprises a base plate (9) that is associable with the door wing and a supporting plate (14) for a cylinder (19) for actuating the means which is interposed between the base plate (9) and the box-like body (2), at least one positioning slot (10, 11) being provided in the base plate (9) in order to allow to adjust the position of the box-like body (2) with respect to the actuation cylinder (19) at right angles to the jamb side of the door wing. <IMAGE>

The present invention relates to an improvement to a latch lock to be applied.

The locks on the market today have various standardized dimensions and are characterized by the distance between the cylinder and the stop. Therefore, considering also the

right or left opening direction of the door, a series of variants must be provided for each type of lock. The result is a difficult management of the quantities of stock in the warehouse and the obvious need to always have a wide range of locks in stock to satisfy every specific request.

The aim of the present invention is to obviate the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide a lock which allows the control cylinder to be adjusted in predefined standard positions.

Within the scope of this technical task, an object of the present invention is to provide a reversible lock having a simple structure, of relative easy practical implementation, of safe use and effective operation, as well as of relatively low cost.

This task and these purposes are all achieved by the present latch lock to be applied to a leaf and consisting of a box-like body housing the latch actuation means internally, characterized in that it comprises a bottom plate which can be associated with said leaf and a plate of support

Further particularities of the lock according to the invention will be particularly evident

With particular reference to figures 1, 2 and 3, it is generally indicated with 1 a

latch lock of the so-called rotary type, known, for example from the Italian patent

Sun no. B02001A000330 by the same applicant.

The latch lock 1 comprises an internal frame consisting of a body

box 2 which contains and supports the actuating members of the lock, not

described and illustrated in the present application since they are fully known from the aforementioned patent

question n. B02001A000033. The box-shaped body 2 is composed of two parallel sides 4,5, joined by a wall 6. From the two sides 4,5 extend

laterally squared two respective lips, 7,8 which can be associated with a bottom plate 9

rectangular in shape through which the lock is applied to a door,

not illustrated in the attached tables.

The plate 9 comprises two positioning slots 10, 11 which extend

parallel to the long side of plate 9. In the area between the side

along and the edge 12 parallel to it are the positioning slots 10,11

provided respective series of centering and retaining pins 13,13a aligned parallel to edge 12.

Between the lips 7, 8 and the plate 9 there is interposed a support plate 14 comprising

centering elements consisting of two nibs 15,16 projecting from the area

peripheral median and each equipped with a hole 17,18. A through control cylinder 19 is fixed to the support plate 14, in correspondence with the nib 15

through the respective positioning slot 10 or 11. The cylinder 19 passes through

the door near its abutment edge and its cylinder is integral with a

ingenuity 20 adapted to manually maneuver the actuating means 21 of the lock

1 when operated with a key 22.

In practical operation to adjust the position of the control cylinder 19 with respect to

to plate 9 it is sufficient to engage the respective centering pins in holes 17 or 18

13, 13a selected according to the positioning requirements of the lock 1.

At this point, to assemble the body 2 of the lock 1, the plate of

bottom 9 to the respective lips 7,8 by means of fixing screws driven through holes 23,24

made in the lips 7,8 and in the periphery of the bottom plate 9.

It should be noted that when assembling the lock to the leaf, the support plate 14

is clamped between the body 2 and the bottom plate 9.

The invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the inventive concept.

reference numbers.

In these known locks the latch actuation members, as well as by means of the

cylinder 19 which crosses the thickness of the door, are driven by a cylinder 25

fixed to the box body 2.

The cylinder 19, in a completely intuitive way, is fixed to a support plate (not

visible in the drawing) which, similarly to the example described above, is

provided with two corresponding holes engageable by the ends 13,13a of the plate

bottom 9.

In practice, the materials used, as well as the shapes and sizes, may be

Latch lock to be applied to a leaf and consisting of a box-like body housing the latch actuation means internally, characterized in that it comprises a bottom plate that can be associated with said leaf and a support plate for a control cylinder of said leaf means, interposed between said bottom plate and said box-shaped body, at least one positioning slot being provided in said bottom plate to allow adjustment of the position of said box-shaped body with respect to said control cylinder in a direction perpendicular to the abutment side said door. 2. Lock, according to claim 1, characterized in that said positioning slot extends parallel to one side of said bottom plate perpendicular to the abutment edge of said door, said control cylinder being driven through said positioning slot and said support plate and bottom plate being provided with reciprocal coupling elements aligned parallel to said slot. 3. Lock, according to claim 2, characterized in that said elements of mutual coupling comprise retaining and centering pins integral with said bottom plate and aligned perpendicularly to the abutment side of said door and able to engage in holes of said support plate. 4.
