Description
Descrizione di un'invenzione industriale Description of an industrial invention
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
This invention refers to an inertial mass in concrete with integrated reinforcement with radial anchors, for tubs of combinable washing machines.
As is known, washing machines consist of a perforated basket, within which the garments to be washed are placed, which rotates with its bottom immersed inside a tub.
The operating cycle of the washing machines includes a phase of emptying the tank and a final rotation speed which must be high to allow the expulsion of the water, present in the washed clothes, by means of a squeezing carried out by centrifugation of them.
In this phase, the garments are crushed on the parts of the rotating basket by the centrifugal force, and therefore rotate together with it adhering to its walls.
Since, for a variety of reasons, such garments cannot be distributed uniformly on the circumferentiality of the basket, the basket is unbalanced both statically and dynamically (given the considerable depth of the basket).
This consequently creates vibrations, which can also be strong. These vibrations must be dampened by the rotating support structure of the drum, which is made up of the same structure as the tank intended to contain the washing water, in turn elastically suspended from the outer casing of the washing machine.
From the structural concept thus defined, it is clear that the tub must be equipped with a considerable inertial mass which prevents the unbalancing forces generated by the rotating drum from reaching the outer casing of the washing machine.
Since washing machines are appliances with strong commercial competition, it is important that they cost as little as possible.
Therefore, the best way to give the tank a large inertial mass at a low cost is to associate one or more concrete blocks with it.
1 . The solution currently used for this purpose is that consisting of a concrete “donut” equipped with axial holes, into which bolts are inserted which are screwed onto nuts present inside the tank; a radial section of this well-known design solution is illustrated in fig. 1.
This well-known solution involves the drawback of having to adopt brackets welded to the tank and then make the water seal by combining the tightening nuts with appropriate rubber washers.
This well-known solution is also very expensive: both for the high cost of the steel bolts, and for the long time required for the assembly of the concrete ring to the tank.
A further drawback of the aforementioned well-known solution is constituted by the fact that the various fastening bolts act in a way that transfers the vibratory stresses to them only to the concrete, and not to the typical steel inner ring with reinforcement function (in the drawings the section of this ring is represented by a black dot). In fact, this creates stress concentrations, particularly where the presence of the holes for passing the bolts reduces the resistant section of the ring. In the presence of any cracks or non-homogeneity of the concrete, it therefore becomes possible that the inertial mass is broken into several parts; this determines a precariousness to the anchorage of the same, with progressive reduction of the damping efficiency and creation of anomalous noise, up to complete breakage. The object of the present invention is to define an inertial mass in concrete, for tubs of washing machines, which can be anchored to the tub without drilling it in areas subject to containment of the washing water. Another purpose is to define an inertial mass which can distribute the stresses connected to its anchoring to the tank at a multiplicity of points, without thereby weakening its own cement structure.
Another purpose is to define an inertial mass that can allow the union, with a metal reinforcement structure, of all the anchor points of the inertial mass to the tank.
Another purpose is to define an inertial mass which allows its assemblies on the tank that are quick and economical.
Another purpose is to define an inertial mass that has suitable anchoring means to the tank to allow an elastic preloading of contact between the concrete of the inertial mass and the steel of the tank, to avoid vibrating hammering in any critical operating conditions. of the washing machine.
These and other objects will appear as achieved by reading the following detailed description, illustrating an inertial mass in concrete, for tubs of combinable washing machines, having the particularity of having a circumferential steel reinforcement integrated with shaped steel brackets designed to implement an anchor of the inertial mass to the circumferential edges of the tank by means of radial fixing means, said brackets being all welded to a toroidal reinforcing rod of the concrete.
L’invenzione è illustrata, a titolo puramente indicativo ma non limitativo, nelle allegate tavole di disegno in cui: The invention is illustrated, purely as an indication but not limited to, in the attached drawing tables in which:
- le figg. 2 e 3 mostrano, con due viste perpendicolari, la massa inerziale montata sulla parete anulare posteriore della vasca; - figs. 2 and 3 show, with two perpendicular views, the inertial mass mounted on the rear annular wall of the tank;
2 e 3. - figs. 4 and 5 show an enlargement of details Z and W of the previous figs. 2 and 3.
In fig. In fig. With reference to the aforementioned figures, a washing machine tub 1, designed to contain washing water 2 on its bottom, is associated with an inertial mass 3, having the shape of a donut. This inertial mass is made of concrete and is associated with a rear annular wall 4 of the tank. On this wall there is a circumferential edge 5 projecting with respect to a cylindrical surface 6 and coaxial with it. This edge exercises a containment role of the donut shape of the inertial mass 3; the precision of this containment, however, is not entrusted to the rigidity of the concrete, but to the relative flexibility of a shaped bracket 7 protruding radially from a niche 8 present in the concrete. The bracket 7 is provided with a section 7A of it in the form of a plate, which is welded at the bottom to a steel rod 9, constituting a circumferential reinforcement of the concrete. It follows from this that the numerous brackets 7, all joined together by the toroidal rod 9, are also partially embedded in the concrete. In fig. 2 are indicated four (in correspondence of the axes), but they could be in greater number: for example seven. The partial drowning of the brackets 7 in the concrete can be integrated by further fins 7B, folded as illustrated in fig. 4. The exact radial distance of the external portion of the bracket 7 is obtained by forcibly inserting the reinforcement in a half-mold for casting and forming the concrete, which elastically deforms the rod 9 until the various brackets 7 are placed in their exact radial position. required by the subsequent insertion of them inside the circumferential edge 5. These brackets are in fact blocked in this precise position by the consolidation of the concrete. Following the insertion of the inertial mass 3 inside the edge 5, peripheral portions 7C of the various brackets 7 are "parallel" to it (fig. 5): therefore, they can be fixed to it by means of usual radial fixing means 10 Figure 5 shows another example of such means consisting of a small screw. This screw could also be of the self-tapping type, inserted in pre-existing holes, or of the well-known self-drilling and threading type. Since the tank 1 is round, it is easy to understand how this locking (with the possible drilling and screwing phases) with the radial means 10 can take place automatically on platforms with intermittent angular rotations: that is, in an extremely precise and economical way. Such means could obviously also consist of riveting, or even in usual overlapping punches (punch much smaller than the anvil-hole). As can be seen from fig. 5, the contact between the inertial mass 3 with the outside of the rear wall 12 of the tank occurs in two areas: a large and rigid area 11 in which the concrete rests on the steel of this wall 12 of the tank 1, and a restricted area and elastically yielding constituted by the area in which a front 13 of the bracket 7 rests against a flat projection 14 of the tank. This last elastic yielding is very small, but conceptually suitable for realizing a preload following the fixing intervention carried out by the means 10. This advantageously eliminates any possibility of play in fixing the inertial mass. In this optional solution, conceptually offered by the invention, there is obviously first the contact between the front 13 of the bracket 7 against the projection 14 and then the elastic yielding of one or both parts until contact is made with the concrete surface 3A of the mass 3 against the rear wall 12 of the tank; in this position thus forcibly acquired, the fixing between the edge 5 of the tank and the top 7C of the various brackets arranged in a circular manner is carried out. In fig. 5 the surface 3A of the inertial mass is drawn not in contact with the rear wall 12 to better distinguish the two parts, but also to make it clear that the fixing of the object could be separated from this contact due to subjective design choices
