Description

The project is about protecting life; I'm pleased to present LIFE, which will certainly provide greater peace of mind and safety for children in vehicles.

And not only that: it can be used in camping tents, in private homes, anywhere

The child can be left behind. The LIFE is made up of two parts, all of which are movable. LIFE 1 is designed to be installed in the car. LIFE 2, on the other hand, must remain with the driver.

How the LIFE 1 and LIFE 2 work: the two LIFEs are characterised by a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter called LIFE 1 (which must remain in the passenger compartment) emits a radio signal received by the receiver called LIFE 2 (which must always remain with the driver). When the LIFE 2 reaches a distance of 5 metres and no longer receives the signal from the LIFE 1, it emits the first acoustic alarm signal, then every 5 minutes it emits subsequent acoustic alarm signals to remind the driver that the child is in the car. The LIFE 2 has a deactivation switch (see protocol 2 LIFE 2) assuming the driver has the child with them.

But be careful: LIFE2 has an additional safety system installed on it: even if the driver has not the child with him, if the LIFE 2 does not detect the LIFE 1 signal for more than 10 minutes, it automatically reactivates and resumes the initial procedure.

Example: assuming the driver is in a service area without a child, when he hears the first warning signal he deactivates it, convinced that he will remember, but if this is not the case, the LIFE 2 will automatically reactivate.

LIFE DESCRIPTION 1

Its shape is rectangular (length 80mm, width 50mm, thickness 10mm see protocol 1 lifel), the basic color is black but there can be a wide choice of colors.

On the front there are 4 circular LED lights; the 4 LEDs indicate the battery charge level and are of 3 specific colors: 2 green, 1 orange and 1 red. 1 green LED indicates the battery charge status, the orange LED indicates the battery is half charged, the red LED indicates the battery is low (see Protocol 1 lifel). Located at the top right is the on/off switch (see Protocol 1 lifel). Located at the bottom left is the name of the device (see Protocol 1 lifel). On the back of the device there are 2 suction cups for fixing and a removable battery compartment cover. The LIFE 1 is powered by a 3.7v lithium battery, rechargeable via the jack located on the long side of the LIFE 1 (see Protocol 1 lifel)

To recharge the battery, a 220V mains power supply and a 12V car power supply are provided.

DESCRIPTION OF LIFE 2

Π LIFE 2 is rectangular in shape (length 55mm, width 25mm, thickness 15mm protocol 2 life 2), basic color black but there can be a wide choice of colors.

In the centre there is a specific button for deactivating the acoustic alarm (see protocol 2 life2). Higher up, still in the centre, there is a red LED light which flashes to indicate the low battery status, and therefore the replacement of the battery, by emitting a short intermittent sound via an internal buzzer which is totally different from the alarm sound (see protocol 2 life 2).

In the lower part, always in the centre, there is an acoustic capsule designed to emit the alarm signal (see protocol 2 life 2).

In the upper right part there is a small 1" slot for attaching a key ring (see protocol 2 life 2)

In the central left part is the name of the device (see protocol 2 life 2)

For power, the LIFE 2 uses a 3.7V lithium battery. It can be recharged using the jack on the lower left side of the LIFE 2 (see the LIFE 2 protocol).

The sales package contains two LIFE 2 devices, one for each parent, but more than 2 can be used. All LIFE products have their own coding: even if two are accidentally placed next to each other, only the one paired with its transmitter will be activated.

CLAIM

The device I presented is intended to save the lives of children who are often left behind in cars, given recent news events. Given the long battery life of the LIFE, it can be used in caravans, tents, campers, and anywhere there is no electrical outlet.

LIFE 2, given its small size, can be attached to any key ring.

With LIFE no more unpleasant tragedies, the strong point of my device is that it draws the parent's attention with an acoustic alarm and that even once the life 2 is deactivated, if the two devices are not brought close together or the life 1 is turned off, the acoustic alarm goes off every 10 minutes.
