ONE DOOR WITH SUPPORTING CORNER DECORATION

Scope of the invention

The present invention relates to the technical sector concerning the construction of furniture in general, for example kitchen furniture.

In particular, the invention refers to a particular door for kitchen furniture with decorations which also have a structural function.

Brief outline of the prior art

As is well known, in the field of kitchens, many modular modules are made which form part of a kitchen.

These modules can be coupled to each other ?ad hoc? for which creating kitchens of various sizes and types.

Each module of a kitchen? generally equipped with compartments for food/tools and so on.

For example, under the sink ? an area is generally provided for accommodating various objects, such as objects necessary for washing dishes, detergents and/or other. In any case, depending on the type of kitchen, there are multiple spaces that form compartments for objects and these are closed by doors or hatches, if you prefer.

At the present state of the art, these doors (or doors) are generally in the form of a panel with a handle which can be be made of material such as wood or other materials such as plastic, plywood, etc.

Generally, depending on the type of quality? of the kitchen, the panel can? be embellished with processes that provide for the transfer onto it of other materials cut according to predetermined shapes.

However, these decorations have no structural function and the door hinges are applied directly to the body of the panel by means of connecting screws.

The result ? That ? is necessary a processing application of the hinge that pu? cause damage to the panel. Furthermore, all the load, during use and therefore during the opening and closing of the door, is discharged into the body of the panel with the risk of fractures given that the hinge represents a load concentration zone.

There? does it imply durability? of the panel and therefore a useful life much more? low.

Furthermore, these internal hinges, due to the required construction system, are not able to tolerate heavy weights, forcing the builders to considerably increase the number for smaller doors. 70cm high.

Summary of the Invention

? therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a new type of door (or door, whatever you prefer) for furniture in general, preferably for kitchens, which solves the aforementioned technical drawbacks.

In particular, ? The object of the present invention is to provide a door, or leaf, in which the decorative elements also perform a structural support function, thereby increasing the useful life of the panel, reducing the risk of breakage and facilitating assembly of the hinges, thereby stiffening the overall structurally the door.

These and other purposes are therefore achieved with the present door for furniture in general, in particular furniture or single kitchen furniture, in accordance with claim 1.

In accordance with the invention, this door (1) comprises a panel (2), for example metallic.

Also included are at least two corner pieces (24, 24?, 25, 25?) which are applied, preferably removably, each one to a corner of the panel (2).

Said two corner pieces (24, 25) comprise, each one, a first part (21; 22) of a hinge system (21; 22, 21?, 22?) suitable for rotationally connecting, each one, with a respective second part (21?, 22?) of said hinge system (21; 22, 21?, 22?) which in use is fixed to a part of the furniture to which the door? destined.

In accordance with this solution all the aforesaid technical drawbacks are resolved.

In particular, the hinge part intended for the door is now applied to a support element formed by an angle and not directly to the panel forming the door.

The angle, therefore, supports the hinge part in question.

The corner pieces can therefore have both a decorative and structural function with a hinge function.

The angular can? be made of various sizes and certainly constitutes a greater anchoring surface than the classic connection points of a hinge directly to the panel.

The loads coming from the hinge, therefore, are distributed much better on the panel thanks to the corner piece and, depending on the selected extension surface of the corner piece, ? possible to mitigate these loads, thus lengthening the life of the panel.

Moreover, since the hinge is external and not recessed, it? It is possible and very simple to use low-thickness doors, for example in the order of 5mm.

On an aesthetic level? possible, thanks to this solution, to eliminate the visible screws.

Advantageously, the two said corner pieces are arranged at the lower and upper corner of one side of the panel in such a way that the first two hinge parts are aligned with each other along the Z axis, defining an axis of rotation.

Advantageously, four angle pieces can be provided, ie one for each corner of the panel.

Two of these angle pieces placed on one side will be equipped with the first part of the hinge system integrated therewith and described above while the other two will obviously have no hinge system.

In this way, with four corners, the structure of the panel is more solid and there is an aesthetic symmetry.

Advantageously, said first part of the hinge system (21; 22) can be connect to the angle bracket in a removable way, for example through connection means, generally reversible connection means (that is, which allow connection and release or release).

In an example case, screws or inserts in general can be used as reversible connection means, for example .

Advantageously, the said angular pu? comprising a transverse arm (26) made in one piece with the remainder of the angle member and extending radially outwardly from said remainder of the angle member.

Advantageously, this arm can? form at its end? opposite to the angle from which emerges an application area of such reversible connection means, for example one or more? holes for applying screws or inserts, and through which to removably connect said first part of the hinge system to said transversal arm (26).

Advantageously, these corner pieces are made of metal or metal alloy so as to have a structural function.

The hinge system? in itself well known and pu? for example, comprising a pin that pivotally fits into a receiving socket.

An angular can? therefore providing a pin element as the first part of the hinge system which rotatably fits into a receiving element which forms the second hinge part and which is fixed to a structural part of the furniture.

Of course, the opposite can? Be expected.

Advantageously, four perimetric profiles (61, 62, 63, 64) can also be included, configured to rest on the edges of the panel in such a way as to surround it like a frame.

Each perimeter profile is so? between two successive angles.

Advantageously can? be foreseen a continuity? between the profiles and the angles creating an overall continuous frame effect.

Advantageously, in this regard, these perimeter profiles can form at both ends an end portion (a sort of appendix) configured to be applied by pressure in a special seat obtained in the respective corner piece with which this end portion couples.

In this way the profile is trapped by its two ends by the two corner pieces which overlap these ends when applied to the panel.

Advantageously said sections can be made of metallic material or metal alloy.

AND? Also described here is a system comprising a door provided with at least two corner pieces according to one or more? of the characteristics described above and a pair of second parts of the hinge system (21?, 22?) able to be fixed in use to a fixed part of the furniture to which the door? intended and which couple each one rotatably with the respective first part of the hinge system connected to or forming an integral part of the corner piece.

AND? also described here is a piece of kitchen furniture comprising at least one system as indicated above.

AND? also object of the present invention is a method for assembling a door for a piece of furniture, preferably a kitchen piece of furniture or a single kitchen piece of furniture, the method comprising the following steps:

- The preparation of a panel (2) and the drilling, preferably at or near the? of the four corners, to allow, by means of screws or inserts in general, the removable fixing of at least two corner pieces (24, 25, 24?, 25?);

- Said two corner pieces being provided, or connectable in a removable way, with a first part of a hinge system (21, 22?) suitable for rotatably coupling with a second part of said hinge system (21?, 22?) which in use is fixed to the furniture to which the door? destined;

- Then the two corner pieces are fixed to the corners of the panel;

- The panel is applied to the furniture by coupling the first parts of said hinge system included in the two corner pieces with the second parts of the hinge system fixed to the furniture.

Advantageously, there are four corner pieces and two of which are provided with this integrated hinge system and two without this system.

The corner pieces, two or four, can advantageously be metallic.

Advantageously, the first part of said hinged system is not integral in a single piece with the?angular but ? connected to it in a separable way.

In this regard, therefore, can? including the connection phase of the first part of the hinged system to two of said corner pieces using screws or inserts in general.

Brief description of the drawings

Detailed description of the Invention

With reference to figure 1 and figure 2, two types of doors (1; 100) are described in accordance with the present invention.

According to figure 1 ? therefore a laminate element 2 constituting a panel 2 is provided.

The panel can be made in many different materials and in various thicknesses (even reduced, for example 5mm), depending on the needs.

For example the panel ? preferably aluminum.

The panel can have any shape and size and, generally, ? rectangular or square in shape.

However other non-metallic materials could be used, for example glass or wood or plastic materials etc.

Figure 4 shows an exploded view by separating the panel 2 from the remaining parts which are described immediately below.

Figure 1 and Figure 2 introduce two different configurations which simply differ in the different aesthetic opening styles while the remaining parts are the same.

Equal parts will therefore be described using the same numbering.

In figure 1 ? therefore indicated a first opening/closing system 10 which provides for a bolt lever 11 hinged at a point 12 of the panel 2 itself.

By means of a lever 13, which extends transversally from the lever 11, one can rotate the same lever 11 around point 12. In this way the end? 11? of the lever 11 oscillates as per the double direction of the arrow always indicated in figure 1.

The end? 11? can? what? move between a locked position, going to lock with a fixed striker obtained in the structure of the piece of furniture to which the door is applied, and a free position.

In the free position the door can? be rotated around the Z axis defined by the hinges applied to its side and, obviously, superimposed on each other in axis.

In this way, as in the prior art, the door or leaf can be open or close by rotating around the Z axis.

The end? 11? ? best driven by a fixed 14 guide.

The solution of figure 2 ? similar, as mentioned, to that of figure 1 but in this case the opening/closing system 10 ? replaced with a system 110 formed simply by a fixed handle connected to panel 2 and the closure ? guaranteed by a magnet system inside the compartment.

Both the solutions of figure 1 and figure 2 have the hinges for the opening/closing rotation of the leaf when this is? applied to the structural part of a piece of furniture.

In particular ? expected a top hinge system 50? applied to an upper (upper) corner in the panel and a lower hinge system 50?? applied to the lower corner (below) and obviously in axis with each other (z axis of rotation).

The upper system and the lower system are identical to each other but obviously mirrored one with respect to the other (see for example figure 2)

The upper hinge system comprises a corner with a structural function, for example in metal, arranged to support the door and to be fixed in a removable manner, for example by means of screws, to a first hinge part (22) suitable for rotatably coupling with a second part (22?) which in use is fixed to the structure of the piece of furniture.

The same happens for the lower hinge assembly which therefore includes, in the same way, a corner with a structural function, for example in metal, designed to support the door and be fixed in a removable way, for example with screws, to a first hinge part 21 which in use pivotally couples with the second hinge part 21? which in use applies to the fixed structure of the furniture.

In accordance with the invention, the two said first hinge parts (21, 22) which in the prior art are fixed to the panel by means of a screwed and hidden plate and spaced apart from each other, are therefore now applied to the panel by means of the above-mentioned angle pieces to which they are connected, preferably in a removable manner, for example by means of screws or connection inserts in general.

Alternatively, the first parts of the hinge could be in one integral piece with the angle but certainly the interchangeability? allows, if necessary, the replacement of said first part of the hinge if there? should it be deemed necessary.

Pi? in particular, as shown in the detail of figure 5, ? shown is the lower corner piece 25 to which the first hinge part 21 is applied, cooperating with the second hinge part 21? and which together form the lower hinge assembly 50??.

What has been said obviously also applies to the upper corner piece 24 with the same overturned hinge.

This angular, see for example figure 5, ? in the form of a square body having two sides perpendicular to each other at 90? as evident from the detail of figure 5, but pu? vary in visible aesthetics according to customer needs.

The angular element therefore comprises a vertical side 27 and a horizontal side 28 which are perpendicular to each other.

The angular therefore has a front face that ? the one in visible use and a rear face 29 shown in figure 5 and which ? the one that rests on panel 2 for fixing.

On this face 29 can? for example, can material be removed in such a way as to lower part of the thickness of the corner piece so that the thickness of the panel is contained in the step 29? which is achieved with such material removal as with a flush application. The profile of the removed material pu? negatively follow the shape of the corner profile of the door to which it is applied.

For example, did the material removed in figure 5 create a step 29? whose profile includes a vertical section in front of the vertical side 27 and a horizontal section in front of the horizontal side 28 and with these two sections of shorter length than the overall lengths of the sides 27 and 28 towards which they face and connected to each other with a curved arc following curved profile 2? (chamfered) of the panel corner.

The angle bar is fixed to the panel using screws highlighted in the exploded view in figure 5 which penetrate the angle bar and the panel creating the removable type connection.

The rounded corners of the panel and the conformation for the removal of material on the corners makes s? that there is a guide that obliges correct application of the angle piece in a precise position, avoiding inverting the angle pieces in the wrong positions or fixing them misaligned to each other.

In particular ? the position of the corner piece with hinge in the lower corner and in the upper corner on the same side is obligatory.

Continuing with the structural description of the invention, the angle bar has an arm 26 which is made in one piece with the body (27, 28) remaining of the angle and extending radially from it.

The arm serves as a holder for removably fastening a part of the hinge system, in particular the first hinge part (21, 22), to it, for example by means of fastening screws.

5 referring to the lower hinge assembly 50?? does it therefore show that this system comprises, as stated, the first hinge part 21 which couples with the second hinge part 21? to form, as a whole, the system that rotates around the Z axis (the Z axis, as indicated in figure 1, is the rotation axis of the panel when fixed to the furniture).

The exact same solution? for the top hinged system 50?.

Again with reference to figure 5, the lower hinge part 21 has one or more? holes (preferably two holes) for the screws which match in position with the holes obtained on the arm 26 so that this hinge part 21 can be applied with the screws to the arm 26, creating an angle which integrates this hinge part 21 in itself in removable way.

This part of the hinge 21 then has the pin (P) made to fit into a suitable receiving hole of the second part 21? therefore realizing as a whole the hinge system 50 that rotates around the Z axis.

Obviously the top 21? ? structured, for how already? said, to connect to a fixed part of the furniture to which the door is to be applied, for example again by means of fixing screws or the like.

The angular? preferably in brass, in such a way as to have high resistance characteristics and therefore resulting long-lasting, while maintaining, at the same time, easy workability.

Thanks to this solution, therefore, the application of the hinge? immediate as part of it? already integrated in the corner. AND? therefore it is sufficient to apply the corner pieces to the panel and fix the other parts of the hinge to the fixed structure of the furniture to carry out the assembly.

Compared to the traditional solution not ? it is necessary to make additional holes on the sides of panel 2 for the application of external hinges and this not only simplifies assembly but increases the useful life of the panel and therefore its resistance.

With this system? moreover, it is possible to hide the screws.

Figure 5 shows the opposite angle which obviously ? without hinge and as evident from figures 1 and 2 there are therefore four angle pieces per panel and two of which, on one side, have the upper and lower hinge system (50?, 50??) described while the other two angle pieces are opposite side and without hinge system.

Figure 4 is a much better view of the entire exploded view 50, thus clearly highlighting the corner pieces with hinge and the corner pieces without hinge and shows the screws for fixing the corner pieces to the panel.

The angular? therefore fixed to the panel in a removable way with quick connection systems exactly as for the hinge part that connects to the corner piece itself, and therefore with quick connection systems that can preferably include screws or similar systems, for how already? said.

This solution, as shown in figure 4, allows the panel to be embellished by integrating side profiles (61, 62, 63, 64) which connect the corner pieces together. The connection can always take place using removable means of connection such as for example screws or inserts in general.

AND? therefore the lower profile 61, the upper profile 62 and the two side profiles 63 and 64 are provided as a decorative and purely aesthetic complement.

They are extruded profiles preferably in brass.

Similar to the angle bar, they are configured to be applied along the edges of the panel 2 so that as a whole a containment frame 50 is formed formed by the four said profiles (or crosspieces, if you prefer) and the angle bars and which surround or delimit the entire perimeter of the panel.

The connections of said perimeter profiles (61, 62, 63, 64) take place in a point where the end part of the profile overlaps the corner piece.

The simple pressure allows the fixing of the profile which, in case of customer request, can? be eliminated without loss of structural strength of the corner. In the case of high doors, to ensure the adherence of the panel, pu? be provided with a fixing screw.

Claims (10)

1. A door (1) for furniture in general, preferably a kitchen furniture or a single kitchen furniture, comprising a panel (2); - Characterized by the fact that they include: - At least two corner pieces (24, 24?, 25, 25?) which each apply to a corner of the panel (2); - Said at least two corner pieces (24, 25) comprising, each one, a first part (21; 22) of a hinge system (21; 22, 21?, 22?) suitable for rotatably coupling, each one, with a respective second part (21?, 22?) of the hinge system (21; 22, 21?, 22?) which in use is fixed to a part of the furniture to which the door? destined. 2. The door (1), according to claim 1, wherein the said first part of the said hinge system connects to the relative angle in a detachable way through reversible connection means, for example screws or inserts. 3. The door, according to claim 1 or 2, wherein each one of said at least two corner pieces comprises a transverse arm (26) made in one piece with the remaining part of the corner piece and which extends radially outwards from said remaining part of the angle, said arm including, at its end? opposite the remaining corner part from which emerges an area through which said first hinge part can be removably connected to said cross arm (26). 4. The door, according to one or more? of the preceding claims, wherein said at least two angle pieces are made of metal or metal alloy. 5. The door, according to one or more? of the previous claims, wherein four corner pieces and four perimeter profiles (61, 62, 63, 64) are provided configured to rest on the edges of the panel, each perimeter profile being included between two successive corner pieces, said perimeter profiles forming at the two ends an end portion configured to be applied by pressure in a suitable seat obtained in the respective corner piece. 6. The door, according to claim 5, wherein said perimeter profiles are made of metal material or metal alloy. 7. A system comprising a door according to one or more? of the preceding claims and a pair of second hinge system parts (21?, 22?) able to be fixed in use to a fixed part of the furniture to which the door? intended and which each one pivotally couple with the respective first hinge system part. 8. Kitchen furniture comprising at least one system according to claim 7. 9. A method of assembling a door for a piece of furniture, preferably a kitchen unit or single kitchen unit, the method providing: - The preparation of a panel (2); - The removable fastening of at least two corner pieces (24, 25, 24?, 25?) each one to a corner of the panel; - Said two corner pieces each being provided, preferably through a connection of the removable type, with a first part (21, 22) of a hinge system (21, 22, 21?, 22?) suitable for rotatably coupling with a second part (21?, 22?) of the hinge system (21, 22, 21?, 22?) which in use is fixed to the furniture to which the door? destined; - Application of the panel to the furniture by coupling the first parts of said hinge system provided in the two said corner pieces with said second parts of the hinge system fixed to the furniture. 10. The method according to claim 9, wherein including the step of connecting the first part of the hinged system to two of said corner pieces.
