La presente invenzione si riferisce ai veicoli elettrici. L'invenzione ha in particolare per oggetto un veicolo elettrico della categoria “city car”. Tale applicazione è tuttavia da intendere a puro titolo di esempio non limitativo. L'invenzione è infatti applicabile in generale a qualsiasi tipo di veicolo elettrico. Lo scopo della presente invenzione è quello di proporre una soluzione di veicolo in cui sia possibile effettuare un’operazione di sostituzione del gruppo batteria in modo semplice, rapido ed agevole. Un ulteriore scopo dell'invenzione è quello di realizzare il suddetto obiettivo con una struttura relativamente semplice ed economica e senza imporre grosse restrizioni sui criteri di progettazione del veicolo. Secondo una caratteristica principale dell'invenzione, il veicolo elettrico comprende un gruppo batteria montato scorrevole, in una direzione trasversale, rispetto alla direzione longitudinale del veicolo, entro una cavità definita fra il pianale del veicolo ed una struttura di supporto di un sedile del veicolo che aperta su un lato dell'abitacolo del veicolo, detto gruppo batteria essendo spostabile fra una posizione montata entro la suddetta cavità, nella quale il gruppo batteria coopera con un dispositivo connettore entro la cavità per realizzare il collegamento elettrico con il circuito elettrico del veicolo, ed una posizione rimossa dalla suddetta cavità, in cui il gruppo sporge dalla cavità su un lato dell'abitacolo del veicolo, che risulta ad esempio accessibile quando una porta laterale del veicolo è aperta.
