Description
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a blockchain-based system for controlling the fleet in compliance.
As is known, nowadays, it is quite difficult to manage fleet control (for rental and sales operations). In the literature there are systems that use centralized systems, which however do not allow for a certification of transactions. In fact, it is possible to carry out an attack on the central server to alter the flow of transactions.
The advent of the blockchain is therefore a great opportunity to significantly improve transactional security, thanks to distributed systems that hold information. The value of the blockchain is represented by the union of decentralization, transparency, security and immutability. It follows that the use of these values in the contexts of information flow management can represent significant added value. Shared archives have the characteristic of being unalterable, unchangeable and therefore immune from corruption. As an introductory information it is important to introduce a vocabulary.
By node we mean the single participant in the Blockchain and is physically constituted by the servers of each participant.
By transaction we consider each data exchange to be verified, approved and then archived.
By block we mean the representation of the grouping of a set of transactions that are merged to be verified, approved and then archived by the participants in the Blockchain.
The Ledger is the public register in which all transactions carried out in an orderly and sequential manner (thanks to hashes) are "annotated" transparently and immutably.
Hashes are operations (Non-Invertible) that allow you to map a text and / or numeric string of variable length into a unique and univocal string of determined length. The Hash uniquely and securely identifies each block. In the aforementioned context, the object of our invention is essentially to carry out a distributed system for the certification of sales and rental transactions thanks to an embedded device (1) that implements the "fleet blockchain" node on each vehicle, equipped with connectivity to Internet via WIFI NETWORK or Internet Gateway (2). This connection system allows for dialogue with the other nodes of the "fleet blockchain" (3). Each sale and rental transaction is then recorded on board the individual nodes, which correspond to the individual vehicles (7). The individual nodes therefore have the role of distributed ledger (4) (distributed ledger) thanks to their local database. This shared information must not allow any data breach to be made, so it must comply with the GDPR compliance requirement. In fact, one of the issues raised with the advent of the blockchain is that of a possible violation of the GDPR. Consequently, the information exchanged must only present information that is encrypted asymmetrically of the individual identification or particular data, or that may violate the conditions of industrial secrecy. The information cauldrons distributed therefore hold the certification of the transaction, but the identification information of the user and of the company that owns the vehicle (in the case of a multi-company system) on the transaction can only be viewed by decryption by the holder of the associated private key (e.g. owner, headquarters). At any time it is possible to obtain an overview of the entire fleet of vehicles managed, thanks to the registration in the “fleet void” ledger. This therefore allows online booking of any vehicle and also sharing related anomaly reports. For the control of the available means, the search and the booking of the requested means, also the HMI client (6) of the user (e.g. on smartphone or PC) must have the distributed database of transactions (ledger) or rely on an intermediary ( eg the vehicle itself that holds the ledger). This system will therefore make it possible to reduce false alarms and rigorously monitor the problems of the fleet, under the same conditions and vehicle model. Furthermore, it is possible to obtain in real time the availability of the various vehicles throughout the territory. This information is essential to certify the availability of individual vehicles.
As an example, it is possible to imagine the application to a heterogeneous fleet divided into several parts of the territory, even outside the national borders.
Let F (1) be a fleet vehicle, and let L be the shared ledger. If the vehicle F (1) is rented by user U (1) then a transaction is generated to be recorded in the ledger: freight (hash (U (1)), F (1)) → L. However, this transaction must only report the hash of U (1) so that the information of the user who is renting the vehicle F (1) is not visible, violating the GDPR on the entire distributed asset. The vehicle information, on the other hand, should not be encrypted as it is used for realtime control of the fleet.
By means of an external data processing unit (5), it is therefore possible to query the distributed devices to detect transactional anomalies (due to a violation of the RID, Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability requirements).
The same approach is also used to certify the movements also from a 231 compliance perspective.
This calculator, in fact, analyzes the transactions managed by the distributed systems, evaluates their performance and automatically recognizes altered situations. Furthermore, the system suggests to the user the possible employable means according to its search characteristics and the availability found in the distributed blockchain.
An exemplary graphical representation of the present system is provided in Figure 1.
