Abstract

The pneumohydraulic riveting gun provides a pneumatic motor 4, which produces the forward or backward rotation of a segmented stem 7, which emerges at the front end of the gun with a terminal threaded portion 75, which receives an internally threaded rivet 2. The riveting gun also has a pneumatic cylinder 21, which actuates a hydraulic cylinder 22 which in turn pumps pressurised oil in an expansion chamber 10 to bring about a definite backing-away of the motor 4 and of the stem 7 and to attach the rivet 2 to a sheetlike structure 100. The riveting gun also provides a distributor-inverter 30 of the direction of rotation of the motor 4, applied at the back of the motor 4 itself, controlled by first 50 and second 60 control elements, and able to reverse its direction of rotation. <IMAGE>
