System for classifiying defects in the visual field deriving from glaucoma-induced damage and grading them into stages, which can be used to classify glaucoma- induced damage from at least two perimetral indicators as obtained by examination in accordance with automatic computerised perimetry, the first of the said at least two perimetral indicators providing an indication of the overall or generalised damage and the second providing an indication of the special distribution of the damage in the visual field, in a device comprising a diagram having at least two coordinates, which comprises a subdividing grid defining adjacent severity and damage distribution classes, values corresponding to the said perimeter indicators being plotted on the corresponding coordinates and the position of the point unequivocally defined by the said at least two perimetral indicators being determined, this unequivocally defined point being unequivocally associated with a corresponding class. Device for classifying defects in the visual field deriving from glaucoma-induced damage suitable for classifying perimetral damage on the basis of at least two perimetral indicators as obtained by examination in accordance with automatic computerised perimetry, the first of the said at least two indicators providing an indication of the overall or generalised damage and the second providing an indication of the spatial distribution of the damage in the visual field, comprising a diagram having at least two coordinates, comprising a subdividing grid defining adjacent severity and damage distribution classes, the said diagram identifying values corresponding to the said perimetral indicators on the corresponding coordinates. <IMAGE>
