Abstract

Viene descritto un dispositivo ed un metodo per il collegamento di un personal computer ad una rete di tipo ATM. il dispositivo comprende:- una scheda transputer (TRANSP-BOARD) idonea a convertire i dati dal formato dell'applicativo dell'utente ad un formato AAL-PDU;- un dispositivo (ATM-TRAN) che svolge funzionalità proprie del livello di protocollo ATM;- un dispositivo (ATM-TC) che svolge funzionalità proprie del livello fisico o PHY;- un dispositivo (STTF) che svolge le funzioni di trasporto terminale STM-1 e di terminazione dell'High Order Path per SDH;- un convertitore parallelo serie (STFE).(Fig. 4).
