L'impianto a portale mobile per il lavaggio di veicoli comprende almeno un primo portale, spazzoloni per il lavaggio del veicolo, ugelli di erogazione di acqua ad alta pressione e dispositivi di asciugatura e di erogazione di sostanze utili al lavaggio di detto veicolo e mezzi di spostamento per la rotazione degli ugelli lungo almeno un primo e secondo piano tra loro sostanzialmente ortogonali; il procedimento per il lavaggio di veicoli consiste: nel portare, durante una fase iniziale e finale della corsa di andata e/o ritorno di un primo portale, degli ugelli eroganti acqua ad alta pressione frontalmente alle parti anteriore e posteriore inferiori del veicolo e, contemporaneamente, nel ruotarli lungo un primo ed un secondo piano tra loro ortogonali.
