Una caldaia in particolare del tipo cosiddetto combinato comprende un primo scambiatore di calore gas - acqua (4) per la produzione di acqua calda per il riscaldamento ambienti, in relazione di scambio termico con un secondo scambiatore di calore acqua - acqua (7) per la produzione di acqua calda sanitaria tramite un circuito idraulico primario (5), nonché una unità (8) di accumulo ed espansione dell'acqua calda primaria in comunicazione di fluido con il secondo scambiatore di calore acqua - acqua (7). Vantaggiosamente, la caldaia consente una pronta erogazione di acqua calda sanitaria pur avendo peso e dimensioni estremamente contenute.
