Abstract
Improved insulated electrical cable 1 comprising an electrical conductor 2 coated with an electrically insulating layer 4 formed of a mixture comprising a polymer material comprising an EPR and a mineral filler comprising calcinated kaolin; the improvement lies in the fact that the sodium content, expressed as sodium oxide, in the calcinated kaolin does not exceed 0.09% by weight and the loss factor for the said insulating coating at 90 degree C does not exceed the threshold of 2.0 x 10 -3 when the calcined kaolin content of the mixture in the insulating layer is greater than 19% by weight.
