Abstract

This device has the special feature that it folds back the hems of the folded back edges of applied pockets, particularly those having oblique sides, the said folding taking place through the sequential action of a pair of push-and-transverse-advance blade levers which place the ends of the edge of the folded back side against a short raised wall of a flange in a presser plate so as to cause it to project vertically therefrom so that another pair of longitudinal push blades can then engage the said raised edge and bend it over until a conventional ironing table is used to fix the shape of the pocket so obtained in order to make it ready to be sewn onto the garment. <IMAGE>
