Device for automatic loading and unloading of slablike stone elements, including a self-propelled cart 1 having a pressing assembly 5 carried by a horizontal arm 3 jutting out from an upright support 2. The horizontal arm 3 can move vertically between a raised position and a lowered position, and it can turn about a horizontal axis within an angular field of 360 degrees. The pressing assembly 5 is moreover supported by the horizontal arm 3 so that it can turn about a vertical axis 12 in order to be oriented respectively parallel or orthogonal to the horizontal arm 3. <IMAGE>
