Abstract

Si tratta di un mammifero transgenico non umano, caratterizzato dal fatto che tutte le sue cellule germinali e somatiche contengono un oncogene ricombinante attivato - sotto il controllo di un promotore inducibile fegatospecifico - introdotto in detto mammifero, o in un antenato di detto mammifero, ad uno stadio embrionale del suo sviluppo. Risultati molto soddisfacenti si sono ottenuti quando la sequenza oncogenica comprende la sequenza che codifica per la proteina "antigene largo T" del virus SV40 e il promotore inducibile fegato-specifico che controlla l'oncogene è il promotore del gene umano che codifica per la proteina C-reattiva.La figura rappresenta la mappa genetica di un plasmide che contiene il suddetto costrutto chimerico.
