Abstract

The patent application concerns a diamond turning machine for spherical or similar objects linked together, comprising a unit for holding and advancing the objects to be machined that permits multiple and consecutive operations to be performed, since two or more objects linked together are diamond turned at the same time in a holding section concerned with shaped tools placed on fans or the like. Essentially, the subject diamond turning machine comprises a section 1, for holding, rotating and advancing the linked objects, of which two coaxial units form a part, the first consisting of a feeder unit 2, provided with a knock-off non-return unit 3, while the second consists of a drive pickup unit 4 running on guides, the latter comprising a special clamp 5 for holding and transporting the objects being machined. The unit 1 permits linked objects to advance and rotate on themselves during their machining by special shaped tools mounted on fans, or on vibrating heads or other diamond turning units. <IMAGE>
