Abstract

Telescopically adjustable column for lengthening and/or reduction of bone, suitable for connecting two rings 11 which can be secured to two bone stumps of the same bone by connection nails placed essentially radially, said telescopic column comprising nut 16a and locking nut 16b means for connecting said rings 11 and a hollow body 12 with an axial hole 32, said hollow body 12 having sockets 29 for locking nails and at least one lengthwise control slot 13, at one end of said axial hole 32 there being an axially movable bar 14, carrying axially at one end, externally situated, a threaded male segment 14a and at the other end, internally situated, a smooth segment 14b axially perforated by a threaded hole 17, said threaded hole 17 co-operating axially inside said axial hole 32 with an adjustment screw 20 that can turn in a bushing 15, said bushing 15 being fastened at the other end of said axial hole 32 with a first threaded male segment 15a and having a second threaded male segment 15b projecting, said bar 14 co-operating by said threaded male segment 14a with one ring 11 and said bushing 15 co-operating by said second threaded male segment 15b with the other ring 11. <IMAGE>
