Abstract
Process for the manufacture of a protective coating for substances such as vitamins, amino acids, oligoelements and the like comprising the following stages: - preparation of a matrix containing a nitrogen compound and an aldehyde in aqueous solution, - continuous mixing of the same, - keeping the pH of the said solution neutral, - keeping the said solution at the dissolution temperature of the nitrogen compound until the solution is clear, - adding carbon and/or silicate hydrates to the above matrix, - adding the pure or premixed active ingredient which has to be coated, - heating the mixture to a temperature compatible with the active ingredient which has to be coated, - rapid acidification of the liquid mixture so as to cause polymerisation and solidification of the mixture, - drying of the polymerised and solidified mixture under vacuum, - grinding the solid mixture so obtained to the required particle size.
