Abstract

The invention refers to a method of photography for three- dimensional animated television images and a device for its implementation. In order to facilitate the photographing of three-dimensional images obtained by the simultaneous photographing of the same subject from two different perspectives, with the help of two television cameras 1, 2 arranged at a distance from each other and with their optical axes converging on same, the invention proposes a method which allows the operator to perform the photography by concentrating on a single television camera, the so-called main camera 1, and calling for the second television camera 2 to automatically track the variations in orientation of the optical axis and the setting of the optical quantities of the main television camera 1 so that the two television cameras 1, 2 always preserve a relative orientation of the optical axes and a relative setting of the optical quantities according to a preselected binocular geometry, in particular, the human binocular geometry. <IMAGE>
