Macchina di finitura mediante fissaggio a vapore di capi di vestiario e tessuti a maglia, includente una sezione di trattamento disposta lungo un trasportatore principale, su cui è trasportato un tessuto a maglia da trattare, per esempio mediante fissaggio a vapore ed asciugatura, comprendente, secondo l'invenzione, un primo rullo tenditore (28), disposto nella parte anteriore della sezione di trattamento ed estendentesi trasversalmente alla direzione di trasporto del tessuto a maglia, per lo stiramento di una metà, ad esempio la metà destra, del tessuto a maglia, un secondo rullo tenditore (28), disposto come detto primo rullo tenditore, per lo stiramento dell'altra metà, ad esempio la metà sinistra, del tessuto a maglia, e dei mezzi (33) pressori verso il basso del tessuto a maglia, provvisti tra i due rulli tenditori (28), per premere verso il basso il tessuto a maglia contro un nastro trasportatore (7a) del trasportatore principale (7).
