Abstract

Un procedimento atto ad eliminare il fumo e gli inquinanti chimici contenuti nelle emissioni dei motori Diesel e contemporaneamente ad abbattere il rumore, prevede che le emissioni in uscita dal collettore della camera di combustione dei motori Diesel, attraversino una barriera frangiflusso opportunamente realizzata dentro un contenitore coibentato e costruito in leghe speciali.La barriera frangiflusso, quando viene attraversata dal flusso caldo dei gas di scarico, raggiunge temperature elevate tali da bruciare gli idrocarburi incombusti ed il fumo.Si abbatte in tal modo anche il rumore, perché la zona periferica della barriera frangiflusso possiede un elevato potere fonoassorbente e funziona da silenziatore visco-elastico.
