Abstract
The present industrial invention patent concerns a machine suitable for the extraction of oil from olives in moderate quantities per hour, and hence suited to the requirements of small producers. The machine is based on a processing cycle which includes the preparation of very fine olive paste in a temperature- regulated environment and without crushing of the stones followed by extraction of the oil with optionally temperature-regulated water. The structural configuration of the machine comprises: - a support structure, - a container for the olives in which the paste is processed by means of a tool, - a second container for the water, - a pump for the recycling of the water between the water container and the paste container, - a series of electrical resistances for heating the paste being processed and the water, - a net filter to intercept the olive skins, - 2 taps for the extraction of the vegetation oil and water, and a bung for the extraction of the stones, - an electronic control of the machine, which gives the necessary inputs, with the correct timing, to the various actuators. The machine, after charging of the olives and the water, performs the processing of the olives reducing them to a very fine and demulsified paste in a temperature- regulated environment and without crushing of the stones, then, when processing of the paste is complete, initiates a series of stages of closed-circuit water circulation between the water container and the paste container; the said water overcoming a hydrostatic head returns into the water container carrying skins (intercepted by the net filter) and oil which rises above the water; the said water-circulation stages are interspersed with rest periods and have the effect of extracting the oil from the paste and rendering it available as a top phase in the water container, whence it can be removed by an appropriate drain tap on completion of the extraction process; finally, the residues(vegetation water and stones) are removed from the two containers.
