Abstract

Una sorgente superluminescente (1) emette un fascio luminoso ad ampia banda, che è modulato in frequenza da un filtro (3, 13) con banda passante centrata su una frequenza fatta variare secondo una legge predeterminata per modulare in frequenza il segnale luminoso. Mezzi separatori e ricombinatori di fascio (5; 21, 22; 32) determinano uno sfasamento reciproco tra due componenti del fascio che dipende dalla grandezza fisica da misurare ed è rivelato da un rivelatore (8) come indicazione del valore della grandezza stessa.
