Abstract
The treatment of waste waters from oil mills is a difficult process because of the high organic burden caused by diverse substances. The method described below is a derivative or substantial modification of patent No.1191528 already granted to me on 23/3/88 under application No.6401/86 in which the waste waters from the oil mills are acidified to acidic pH then treated with substantial amounts of salts of iron and aluminium and then neutralised giving an easily filterable sludge with removal of 92% of the contaminant burden. In the present method (while also preserving some conditions and reagents) improvements in the method are introduced.
