Abstract
The cleaning filter according to the invention comprises at least two mutually complementary filter stages, the first stage 12, 35 of which consists of a filtration and dust-removing means for removing dust and/or substances of fine particle size carried in the external ventilation air, and the second stage 13, 36 of which consists of a filtration means based on active carbon and/or activated alumina and/or silica gel, for the control of pollutants in gaseous and vapour form, for the adsorption/absorption of pollutants of organic and inorganic origin and for the control of smells, with optional addition of impregnating substances for the selective regulation of the field of action of said filter stage 13, 36 with respect to predetermined pollutants, the said cleaning filter being located on the path of the ventilation air of the said air injection system between the external-air intake means and the air outflow means where it leaves the vehicle passenger compartment. <IMAGE>
