Abstract

This invention is the manufacturing procedure, with the use of waste material from high resistance recyclable ceramic tiles. This consists of a series of phases, the first of which prepares the mixture of waste glass, like Harlequin glass with the most prevalent components being potassium and sodium, and mud to be purified. the second phase collects the mixture in to vats with a built in mixer. The third phase is the introduction of the mixture into a measuring device. Then the fourth phase is mixing it with clay. The mixing is done inside the mixer for between 4 and 10 minutes. The resulting mixture then passes through a fifth phase extruding/drawing and cutting according to the shape to be attained, as well as, optionally, being sent to a sixth phase. This consists of drying over 2/8 hours at a temperature of less than or equal to 80 degrees C. This creates the hydrolysis and migration of potassium salt and sodium on the surface. The seventh phase is cooking the item in a temperature between 960 degrees C and 1000 degrees C for between 7 and 12 hours. This causes the glassification/sintering of the salts on the surface. The invention is the mixture for tiles according the aforementioned method, the mixture that is realized with a mixture with a percentage of waste material, called "Harlequin" glass above as well as with a percentage of clay and impure mud. All of which is mixed together with water to reach a humidity level of between 16 and 25%. The ceramic tiles produced in this manner end up having a high resistance rate and recyclable according to the procedure and the previous mixture, the tiles have a translucent layer of glassification/sintering from the cooking of the potassium salt and the sodium product during the hydrolysis. This occurred during the sixth and drying phase. The contact points with supports and similar items the external surface of the tile is smooth because of the absence of outcropping of the salts on the surface.
