Abstract
Herein is described an expanding sheet material of copolymer ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) for recreational shoes, what is produced by cutting an expansive sheet of ethylene and vinyl acetate copolymer with a thickness of about 2.5 mm. The expansive EVA cut sheet is then glued and recovered with a sheet of textile fabric for additional treatments: instantaneous heating, pressing and cooling phases to create a sheet about 2 mm thick. During the heating and pressing phases, the sheet can be printed with colours or embossed with designs.
