Abstract

Culture for the identification of microorganisms belongs to the haemophiliac group in clinical microbiological exams consisting of a nutritive base with at least one carbonic source and one source of nitrogen, water, agar, horse blood or mutton erythrocyte which has been cleansed, an antibiotic inhibitor of the Gram-positive bacteria, as bacitracin or vancomycin, and an enriching solution for the culture of the haemophiliacs containing X and V factors, further containing a biochemical test for the phosphate activity constituted of a substrate for the phosphates and eventually one colorant; said enriching solution containing the X and V factors and eventually said antibiotic, rather than being comprised in the formulation of the culture, can be adsorbed onto discs or small paper strips incorporated into the mass of the culture or placed onto its surface.
