Abstract
Compsns. contg. tiamulin acid fumarate (I), and an aminoglycoside antibiotic or its salt (II) in the wt. ratio 5:1 to 1:5, together with a non-toxic support, are new. (II) is pref. streptomycin,neomycin,kanamycin,tobramycin, spectinomycin,apramycin, or gentamycin. The compsns. may be given orally, e.g. mixed with food or drink, parenterally, such as intra-muscularly, intrauterine or intra-mammary. For parenteral administration the composition preferably contains lactose (1:1) to (1:50) and may be dissolved in a suitable solvent. The oral daily dosage is 10 mg/kg.
