Abstract
Tricyclic cpds. of formula (I) and their acid-addn. salts are new. In (I), R and R are each H, F, Cl, Br or 1-4C alkoxy, A is CH2, CH2CH2, CH=CH or CH2CH2CH2; and X is N or CH. Cpds. (I) are antifertility agents esp. useful as post-coital contraceptives. They have higher activity than the related cpds. described in NL7512848 and can be administered orally.
