Abstract
The additional heating or temp. control system may be used with an open fire or a closed stove. It includes a heat transfer grille mounted in the chimney. This grille has two parallel square section tubes (2,3), with a large number of further square section tubes (1) mounted between them. These tubes are mounted so that the two diagonals of the square sections be parallel to and at right angles to the plane of the grille. The support tubes (2,3) contain core rods (6,7), with flanges (8) set to force the circulating fluid to pass through each cross-tube (1) in turn. The circulating fluid may be passed through radiators or a heat pump. A serpentine copper tube (10) threaded through the heater may carry hot water for baths or showers.
