Abstract

The wheel rim for tubeless tyres is made from two simple sections of lightweight alloy. One larger section has the larger part of the wheel rim bed(3) as well as the wheel disc(5) in one piece. A smaller, second section comprising the other part of the wheel rim (2) is secured on the larger section. The smaller section is slightly more flexible than the larger section. The two sections are linked by welding or pressure contact. The wheel is designed to accommodate axial forces when cornering without weakening.
