Abstract

The fuel supply system is intended for continuous fuel injection into an i.c. engine air intake (5). It maintains a constant pressure differential across a fuel metering passage (2) and controls (via 6, 7)the area of that passage in relation to the intake air flow rate. The metered fuel is injected (9, 10) under pressure (from 33 via 4) into the air intake (5). A throttle valve (81) in the intake (5) is coupled to a pump (21) which injects (35) additional fuel during acceleration. Teh pump receives this fuel from a return line (34) of a pressure regulator (3oe which supplies fuel to the metering passage (2).
