Abstract

212The invention relates to a continuous catalytic method for producing a vinyl ester of formula R C(O)O CH = CH by reacting a carboxylic acid of formula R C(O)OH with a transvinylation reagent of the formula R C(O)O CH = CH wherein the reaction occurs without removing a reaction partner in the presence of a transition metal catalyst containing at least one transition metal from the group of ruthenium osmium rhodium iridium palladium and platinum and subsequently the obtained reaction mixture is separated from its components.
