Abstract

This invention is made for either CAV or zone CAV. A wobble groove is formed continuously beforehand so as to record information in the groove and a land that adjoins the groove, the groove having: a first wobble portion modulated by groove address information; a second wobble portion modulated by address information of one adjoining land; and a third wobble portion modulated by the address information of the other adjoining land. A first segment sandwiched by the second wobble portions of two adjoining grooves , and a second segment sandwiched by the third wobble portions of two adjoining grooves are formed on the land , and either the phase of the wobble on both sides of the first segment or the phase of the wobble on both sides of the second segment is substantially in- phase.
