Abstract

1. A heat exchanger, more particularly a stream-heated reheater, having a tube bunch for the heat-yielding medium which contains inert gases, the tube bunch extending vertically between a top distributing chamber and a bottom collecting chamber, the tube bunch being flowed through in the same direction, the medium condensing in the tubes and thus heating the medium operative on the outside of the tubes, characterised in that at least those tubes (1a) of the tube bunch (1) which are disposed in the edge zone and which are at risk from backflow pass through the tube plate (3a) of the collecting chamber (3) and extend at their end into a condensate collecting sump (8) which has a condensate overflow (9) disposed above the tube ends.
