Abstract

The technical sector of the invention is that of devices for connection by mutually engaging shapes between an arrow-type penetrator and a sabot consisting of a plurality of segments. The sabot (2) and the penetrator (1) being positioned relative to one another by means of a stop (6), the connection device according to the invention comprises a first profile (7) carried by the penetrator and a second profile (8) carried by the sabot and is characterised in that there is a relative axial play (J) between the first and the second profile, the total value of which is calculated so as to allow differential expansions of the sabot and penetrator which are attributable to temperature gradients.
