Abstract

A compound characterised in that it is a THF adduct of a beta -diketonate complex of 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoro-2,4-pentanedione with Mg or Zn, the adduct having a molecular formula: M(hfa)2.nTHF wherein M represents Mg or Zn and n represents 1-4, is disclosed. <??>The present invention offers advantages over the prior art. In particular, the present compounds offer high volatility and good chemical stability at vaporization temperatures.
