Claims (1)

1. 43997/3 WHAT WE CLAIM IS : 1.1 A bed, more especially a hospital bed* comprising an under-frame , a mattress frame associated with this underframe for adjustment in regard to height and inclination and at least one bed head fitted to the underframe * characterised by a telescope connection extending longitudinally of the bed between a double T-profiled underframe (1,1' ) which does not project beyond the mattress frame (8 ) and the bed head (14) which is designed in such a way that locking means lock the bed head (14) releasably with the underframe (1,1' ) the said bed head (14) being provided with a centrally positioned - possibly angularly prof led -supporting post (20) adapted for insertion in an appropriately shaped aperture (21) aligned with the T-web.1 2. A bed as claimed in Claim 1 , wherein two detent pawls (23 ,24) cooperating with separate rows of holes in the T-web (2 ) are arranged in the insertable supporting post (20)·> 3 ·1 A bed as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the underframe (1) is double-T-shaped and the end T-arm (3 ) is provided at its end with inwardly directed insertion sockets (41) for inserting supporting posts (40) of the bed head (14). 4. A bed as claimed in Claim 3 , wherein detent pawls 523 ,24) each actuated by a pivotal operating lever (34) are provided in each insertable supporting post (40)»i 5. A bed as claimed in Claim 1 , wherein the locking 43997/2 means are arranged in the underframe (1·) and are brought into the release position by means of a foot-operated lever (48) . 6. A bed as claimed in Claim 5, wherein the foot-operated lever (48) is in the form of a U-shaped pivotal lever and the ends (47') of the U-arms (47) act on cam-controlled locking pins (45) which simultaneously form the pivot axis of the foot-operated lever (48) and are designed to be disengaged from detent holes (44) of the insertable supporting posts (43) of the bedhead (14) . 7. A bed as claimed in Claim 6, wherein actuation is effected through inclined surfaces (49) which move the locking pins (45) in the engaging direction in cooperation with the tension applied to spread apart the U-arms (47) of the foot-operated lever (48) . 8. A bed as claimed in Claim 1, wherein a remote-control system (59) is coupled with a U-shaped pivotal lever (55) with U-arms (54) spread apart by spring tension which act on journals (53) from which the remote-control system (59) extends and which are axially displaceable through can control. 9. A bed as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the operating handles (34) for remote operation extend over the range to be covered during removal and replacement of the bedhead, so that the bedhead is simultaneously unlocked.
