Abstract
1395830 Allergen-containing preparations MERCK PATENT GmbH 30 Nov 1973 [11 Dec 1972] 55578/73 Heading A5B A process for the production of allergencontaining preparations and extracts comprises an extraction of allergy-producing materials, wherein, during or after the production process, an ultrasonic irradiation treatment is carried out. As allergy-producing materials there may be used, for example, pollens, seeds; dusts, epithelia (hairs and feathers), fungi and/or insects such as wasps.

Claims (7)
1. What we claim is :- 1. A process for the production of allergen-containing preparations and extracts with the help of an extraction of allergy-producing materials, wherein, during the production process, an ultrasonic treatment is carried out.
2. A process according to claim 1 , v/herein the ultrasonic irradiation is carried out during the extraction process.
3. A process according to claim 1 or 2, wherein an allergen preparation ready for use is subjected to treatment with ultrasonic v/aves.
4. A process according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the ultrasonic irradiation is carried out with a substantial shortening of the extraction time.
5. A process according to any of the preceding claims, wherein there is used an ultrasonic radiation with a frequency of 20 to 30 kHz.
6. A process according to claim 5, wherein there is used an ultrasonic radiation with a frequency of 20 to 25 kHz. < -
