Claims (10)
1. An insecticidal, acaricidal or fungicidal composition containing as active ingredient a cyclohexane-2,6-dione-l-carboxylic acid anilide of the general formula in which R1 represents halogen, nitro, cyano, alkyl, halo- alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylthio, haloalkylthio, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylsulphonyl, alkylsulphoxyl or optionally, chloro-substituted phenoxy, 2 R represents halogen, nitro, cyano, alkyl, halo- alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylthio, haloalkylthio , alkoxycarbonyl or alkylsulphon l, and n represents 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, or 1 2 R and R can, provided that they are in the ortho- position to one another and n represents 1, form a fused aromatic ring system, in admixture with a solid or liquefied gaseous diluent or carrier or in admixture with a liquid diluent or carrier containing a surface active agent.

An insecticidal, acaricidal or fungicidal composition containing as active Ingredient an anilide of the formula given in claim 1 in which R1 represents chlorine; nitro; cyano, alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio with up to 4 carbon atoms; haloalkyl, haloalkoxy or haloalkylthio with 1 or 2 carbon atoms and 2 to 5 fluorine and/or chlorine atoms; alkoxycarbonyl, alkylsulphonyl or alkylsulphoxyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms Le A 14 495 -27- 42622/2 in the alkyl or alkoxy moiety; orI optionall chloro-substituted phenoxy; R represents chlorine; nitro;. cyano; alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio with up to 4 carbon atoms; haloalkyl, haloalkoxy or haloalkylthio with 1 or 2 carbon atoms and 2 to 5 fluorine and/or chlorine atoms; alkoxycarbonyl or alkylsulphenyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl or alkoxy moiety; and n represents 0, 1 or 2; or, if n represents 1 and R1 is in the ortho-position to R2, these two radicals can conjointly represent a -(CH)^-group which forms, with the adjoining carbon atoms of the phenyl ring in the formula, an aromatic ring, in admixture with a solid or liquefied gaseous diluent or carrier or in admixture with a liquid diluent or carrier containing a surface active agent.

An insecticidal, acaricidal or fungicidal composition containing as active ingredient an anilide as defined in claim 1 being one of those hereinbefore identified in any of Examples 1-20 in admixture with a ecolid. or liquefied gaseous diluent or carrier or in admixture with a liquid diluent or carrier containing a surface active agent.

An insecticidal, acaricidal or fungicidal composition containing as active ingredient an anilide as defined in claim 1 being any of those hereinbefore identified in any of Le A 14 495 -2Θ- 42622/2 Examples A-F, in admixture with a solid or liquefied gaseous diluent or carrier or in admixture with a liquid diluent or carrier containing a surface active agent.
5. A composition according to any of claims 1-4 containing from 0.1 to 955» hy weight of the anilide*
6. A method of combating insect, acarid or fungus pests which comprising applying to the pests or a habitat thereof an anilide as defined in any of claims 1-4 alone or in the form of a composition containing as active ingredient an anilide as defined in any of claims 1-4 in admixture with a diluent or carrier.
7. A method according to claim 6 in which the anilide is used in the form of a composition containing from 0.0001 to lOfo by weight thereof.
8. A method according to claim 6 or 7 in which the pest is any of those hereinbefore specifically identified.
9. An insecticidal, acaricidal or fungicidal composition containing as active ingredient an anilide as defined in claim 1 being one of those hereinbefore identified in Examples 21-26,, in admixture with a solid or liquefied gaseous diluent or carrier or in admixture ¾Lth a liquid diluent or carrier containing a surface active agent.
10. A method according to any of claims 6-8 in which the anilide is one of those hereinbefore identified in Examples 21-26. Le A 14 495 -29-
