Abstract
1419871 Medicines comprising ACTH derivatives CIBA-GEIGY AG 16 Feb 1973 [17 Feb 1972] 7736/73 Heading A5B Injectable pharmaceutical preparations comprise an acid addition salt of an ACTH-peptide with a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid having 12-36C together with a carrier suitable for forming a suspension or solution thereof. Examples describe the use of the salts of #<SP>1-24</SP> corticotropin: D-Ser'-Lys<SP>17</SP>, <SP>18</SP>-#<SP>1-18</SP>-corticotropin-Lys<SP>18</SP>-amide; D-Ser'-Lys<SP>17</SP>, <SP>18</SP>-#<SP>1-19</SP>-corticotropin and D-Ser'-Gly<SP>3</SP>-Lys<SP>17</SP>, <SP>18</SP>-#<SP>1-18</SP>-corticotropin- Lys<SP>18</SP>-amide.

Claims (13)
1. Injectable pharmaceutical preparations comprising an effective amount of an acid addition salt of an ACTH-peptide derived from a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid having from 12 to 36 carbon atoms together with a carrier for suspension or solution..
2. Injectable pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1 in the form of an oily suspension.
3. Injectable pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1 in the form of an aqueous suspension.
4. Injectable pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1 comprising an effective amount of an acid addition salt of an ACTH-peptide derived from a saturated fatty acid having from 18 - 22 carbon atoms.
5. Injectable pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1 comprising an effective amount of an acid addition salt of an ACTH-peptide derived from behenic acid.

Pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1 comprising an effective amount of fatty acid salts of ACTH-peptides, which contain, as ACTH-peptides, peptides or peptide amides with a N-terminal sequence of up to aminoacid 16 to 39 of the natural corticotropins, wherein optionally one or more of the aminoacids 1-5, 11, 15-18 and 25-33 are replaced by other aminoacids and/or aminoacid 1 is replaced by a desamino-carboxylic acid and/or one or more of the aminoacids 1-4 of the sequence are missing. 41475-2*

' Pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1' comprising an effective amount of fatty acid salts of ACTH-peptides, which contain, as ACTH-peptides , peptides or peptide-amides with a sequence of 18-24, preferably 18-19, aminoacids from the amino end of the corticotropins, wherein optionally one or more of the aminoacids 1-5, 11 and 15-18 are replaced by other aminoacids.

Pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1 comprising an effective amount of fatty acid salts of ACTH-peptides which contain^ as ACTH-peptides, peptides or peptide-amides with a sequence of 18-39 aminoacids, wherein the first aminoacid is an aminoacid with the D-configuration, above all D-serine.
9. Pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1 comprising an effective amount of fatty acid salts of ACTH- 1 17 18 1-18 peptides which contain D-Ser -Lys ' -β -corticotropin- 18 Lys -amide as the ACTH-peptide.
10. Pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1 comprising an effective amount of fatty acid salts of ACTH-peptides which contain D-Ser1-Gly3-Lys17' 18-p1"18-corti- 18 cotropin-Lys -amide as the ACTH-peptide.
11. Pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1 comprising an effective amount of fatty acid salts of ACTH-peptides which contain D-Ser^-Lys^"7, ^^-β^ ^-corticotropin or its C-terminal amide as the ACTH-peptide.
12. Pharmaceutical preparations as claimed in claim 1 comprising an effective amount of fatty acid salts of ACTH- 41475-2 peptides which contain i" £t-corticotropin or its C-termini amide as the ACTH-peptide.
