Claims (14)

IT IS CLAIMED:
1. Compounds of the formula N 1 2 in which R and R are independently halogen or alkyl 3 having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R is alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R4 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and R^ is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms
2. The compound of Claim 1 in which R^" is methyl, R is methyl, R is ethyl, R is alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and R^ is alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms .
3. The compound of Claim 1 in which R^" is 2 3 ^+ chlorine, R is chlorine, R. is ethyl, R is alkyl having 5 1 to 3 carbon atoms and R is alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms.
4. The compound of Claim 1 in which R^" is chlorine, R is chlorine, R is ethyl, R is methyl and 5 R is methyl.
5. The compound of Claim 1 in which R^" is methyl, 2 3 4 R is methyl, R is ethyl, R is methyl and R^ is methyl.
6. The compound of Claim 1 in which R^" is chlorine, R is chlorine, R is ethyl, R is hydrogen and R^ is hydrogen. 39746/2
7. 9. Compounds of formula I in Claim 1, substantially as described herein with reference to the Examples.
8. Herbicidal compositions comprising as active ingredient a compound of formula I in Claim 1.
9. A method of controlling undesirable vegetation which comprises applying to the area where control of said vegetative growth is desired, a growth controlling amount of a compound of formula I in Claim 1 or a herbicidal composition according to Claim 8.
10. The method of Claim 9 in which R1 is methyl, 2 3 4 R is methyl, R is ethyl, R is alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon 5 atoms and R is alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms.
11. The method of Claim 9 wherein in the compound of 1 2 3 4 formula I R is chlorine, R is chlorine, R is ethyl, R 5 is alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and R is alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms.
12. The method of Claim 9 wherein in the compound of formula 1 2 3 4 I R is chlorine, R is chlorine, R is ethyl, R is methyl 5 and R is methyl.
13. The method of Claim 9 wherein in the compound of 1 2 3 4 formula I R is methyl, R is methyl, R is ethyl, R is methyl and R5 is methyl.
14. The method of Claim 9 wherein in the compound of 1 2 3 4 formula I R is chlorine, R is chlorine, R is ethyl, R 5 is hydrogen and R is hydrogen.
